Vocational Education and Training Institute Sedu is among the biggest VET providers in Finland. Sedu is a high-quality VET school with eight units in 12 study locations in the western part of Finland, in the region of South Ostrobothnia. Sedu provides vocational qualifications in the following study sectors: Agriculture and Forestry, Beauty, Business and Entrepreneurship, Cleaning and Property Services, Electricity and Automation, Fashion, Interior Decoration and Textiles, Food and Tourism, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering and Production Technology, Media, ICT and Communication, Safety and Security, Vehicles, Welfare and Health and Wood and Construction.

Sedu provides education for more than 5000 full time students and offers continuing education or further training for 10.000 students. In addition to that, Sedu offers preparatory vocational education and training for young people. There are some 600 staff members.

Sedu is an international education provider with around 200 students and 100 teachers or other staff members going on international exchange every year. Annually we receive about 150 students and 100 staff members. Sedu has international partner schools and other organisations in over 30 countries. Sedu participate in thirteen international projects in 2020. Seven of them are KA2 projects.

As an acknowledgement of excellence, in 2018 Sedu won a national quality award from the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture. In 2015 Sedu received Erasmus + VET Mobility Charter as a proof of the successful work in student and staff mobilities.

APRO Formazione S.c.a r.l.

Apro Formazione has two training schools in Alba and Canelli, employing 100 members of staff and 400 professionals. Apro Formazione is a private non profit consortium which provide around 200 courses every week training more than 4000 persons per year in the following sectors: mechanics, welding and carpentry, computer science, electrotechnics, clothing and fashion, tourism and culinary art, hairstyling and beauty, commerce and service activities, health and human services, marketing and communication, administration and business management, design and graphics, environmental protection, safety, ecomanagement and foreign languages.

Apro Formazione is the point of reference for the territory in Europe. Since 2009, Apro Formazione collaborates with European partners on mobility projects, partnerships, development and transfer of innovation in the education field. Its European Network covers 20 Countries with more than 50 partners, including schools, vocational training agencies, universities, private companies, institutions and public authorities. Apro Formazione managed successfully more than 1.500 mobilities and got the Erasmus+ VET mobility charter in 2015."

The European Forum of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (EfVET) is a pan-European umbrella professional association, established in 1991, with the main purpose of building a network of practitioners VET institutions, to secure a voice across Europe in both European policymaking and practice arenas. EfVET main aim is to influence policies and decisions regarding VET systems in Europe; to promote networking opportunities among Members facilitating their access to relevant information, resources, and tools; to act as a key dissemination partner in different projects and initiatives. EfVET represents currently 230 associations in 34 countries with a reach of approximately 200,000 VET professionals and 2.000,000 learners.

GENCAT

The General Direction of Vocational Education and Training and Specialised Studies (Direcció General de Formació Professional Inicial i Ensenyaments de Règim Especial) is a part of the Regional Ministry of Education of the Government of Catalonia, and is in charge of all the educational programmes and initiatives cocerning vocational education such us: school-enterprise links, designing the curricula of the qualifications, controlling 45% of the qualification curricula proposed by the Central Ministry of Education.

This Regional Ministry also issues the qualification certificates, sets up training programmes for IVET and Specilised Studies students, such us the Dual System and last but not least, it devises all the teacher training programmes. It also coordinates the compulsory work placement of all the vocational students in the region, studying in its more than 600 vocational schools spread out across the region.

The Regional Ministry of Education of the Government of Catalonia also promotes mobility projects addressed to the training centres and particippates as a competent body in several European and Cooperation projects.

JAMK

University of Applied Sciences, located in Central Finland, is an international higher education institution with expertise in 8 different fields of study. It has about 8000 students and 740 staff members.

The basic tasks of JAMK include degree awarding education, RDI, and continuing education and services. Within the six focus areas JAMK develops its own competencies and connects itself strongly to the development of the region. JAMK's focus areas are education expertise and business, bioeconomy, multidisciplinary rehabilitation, applied cybersecurity, automation and robotics and tourism. JAMK has received both national and international recognition for its high quality.

For international mobility, JAMK achieved the EU's 2013 Erasmus Award for Excellence, finishing first among more than 4,000 European institutes of higher education. JAMK has participated in hundreds of EU co-financed projects over the last 20 years. Acting as a coordinator or as a partner, JAMK has gained an extensive expertise in accessing, managing, implementing and monitoring EU funded projects in all of its focus areas. International cooperation partners include universities, research centers and companies in 50 countries all over the world. JAMK has experience in several EU funding programmes e.g. ERDF, ESF, Life-long Learning Programme, Erasmus+,FP7, Tempus, Interreg, Health Programme and IEE programme.

KPEDU

The Federation of Education in Central Ostrobothnia, Kpedu is a multidisciplinary educational organisation which actively develops its activities. It arranges vocational upper secondary basic and additional education, preparatory education for vocational education, apprenticeship training and education in folk high school.

The tasks of Kpedu include vocational education and development of the region. The federation works actively for co-operation between the local companies and the vocational education. The development vision, “Learning together to become an expert of the future” is the motto that gives the guidelines for the activities of the federation of education.

It includes the current and the future skills needed and it challenges the federation to constant development in its different sectors. Kpedu carries out educational and developmental services together with customers based on their needs.

ROC Friese Poort

ROC Friese Poort is a denominational institution of secondary vocational education and training (VET) in the Dutch provinces of Friesland and Flevoland. The institution is a vital link in the education of approximately 15.000 students. It offers vocational education at its locations in Leeuwarden/Dokkum, Drachten, Sneek and Emmeloord. In addition, the institution offers education
courses and there is a good cooperation with ROC Friese Poort Corporate Education within the field of EVC assessment (acknowledgement of acquired competences) and made-to measure courses for individual adults and companies.

ROC Friese Poort Sneek is and will be very active in international projects. At the moment staff and management are developing a strategy for having an highly recognizable international profile in 2020 for all stakeholders.
